There are a lot of variables.  I might suggest
a simple test with your setup - cp -V a file across 
qnet from one hard disk on one machine to a hard 
disk on another machine, several times - with bind=en0
and bind=ip.  Do NOT use /dev/shmem or /dev/null
or /dev/zero, which will skew the results.

Like I said, the speed of your cpu, the speed
of your network, the nature of your application 
traffic, io-net vs io-pkt, etc makes this a difficult 
question to answer correctly in the general case.
