with the new core networking 6.4 code, is qnet/tdp now capable of cross-endian operation, or do nodes still have to have the same endian-ness? Thanks, Rich
Good question! The qnet code base that is posted here does indeed contain the changes required for cross-endian support (and we've done our initial regression testing with it successfully as well). HOWEVER, for cross-endian support to work, you also need to have the support built into the kernel. For this, you need the latest and greatest version of the kernel currently in development that you can grab from the kernel project http://community.qnx.com/sf/sfmain/do/ viewProject/projects.core_os. QNET and kernel support are still not sufficient. All of the relevant resource managers that you're using also need to be cross-endian aware and we've only done a small subset of them. Many of those will also be delivered as part of the kernel product, so that would be the place to go for more information.
