Not sure I understand your setup ( what's a m/cs ).  However having QNX and Linux machine with the same IP address seems
 wrong.

Are the VMWare sessions using NAT or bridging?

Your description also isn't quite clear.  Do you mean that the
192.168.0.2 vm session can't ping the 192.168.0.1 session?   Can you see
how the virtual NIC is connected to the real NIC?

I'd also agree with Mario that having two interfaces on the same LAN
with the same IP address is a Bad Thing.
