Are there any mini PCI Express wireless cards supported by io-net ? If not, how about io-pkt ? There seem to be a bunch available, but have we tested any ? Thanks ! Dave
Hi Dave: Funnily enough, we've just been trying out this one: http://www.embeddedworks.net/wlan/oem_miniPCI_80211g.html#wlan110 which has the BCM4318 chip on it. The io-net driver should work with it and we've got the io-pkt driver working on x86 and PPC 8548. However, neither the io-net or io-pkt driver works on a PPC440 platform. We've traced that down to some sort of timing issue that we're actively trying to fix. The io-pkt driver isn't yet publicly available due to licensing issues though. Oops! Just realized that this is a mini-PCI (not mini-PCI express) card. We haven't specifically tried out any mini-PCI express cards at this point in io-pkt.
