Hello, I often post with updated e1000. Has the i82544 also been kept uptodate, I'm looking for the irq_threshold featurs. Also I read somewhere that i82544 can perform better under heavy load ( less interrupt for the same amount of network traffic? )
No, the i82544 driver hasn't been updated, only the e1000. -- Hugh Brown QNX Software Systems Limited 1001 Farrar Rd., Ottawa. ON. K2K 0B3. Thanks for the info. Is it true that this driver can reduce CPU (interrupt) overhead compare to the e1000? > > -- > Hugh Brown > QNX Software Systems Limited > 1001 Farrar Rd., > Ottawa. ON. The latest e1000 driver has a new command line option to allow you to change the interrupt moderation value, so you can inform the driver to interrupt more or less for received packets. -- Hugh Brown QNX Software Systems Limited 1001 Farrar Rd., Ottawa.
