i82544  
Hello,

I often post with updated e1000.  Has the i82544 also been kept uptodate, I'm looking for the irq_threshold featurs. 
Also I read somewhere that i82544 can perform better under heavy load ( less interrupt for the same amount of network 
traffic? )

No, the i82544 driver hasn't been updated, only the e1000.

Thanks for the info. Is it true that this driver can reduce CPU (interrupt) overhead compare to the e1000?

Re: i82544  
The latest e1000 driver has a new command line option to allow you to
change the interrupt moderation value, so you can inform the driver to
interrupt more or less for received packets.
