The laptop I am using requires a Realtek 8169 driver, the script for which is placed in  /etc/system/devices/overrides. 
The driver loads, but no IP address gets configured unless I manaully run 'netmanager', when it configures exactly as 
phlip sets, both dhcp and manual.

I cannot see why  netmanager does not run, since 'use(symbolic=netmgr) appears as a line after each recognised device, 
including the script in overrides.

At what point in the boot process should netmanager run - or must it be started by adding to later scripts?
