packet capturing capacity of wireless card
Hi,

I am using Linksys WMP600N wireless card. I got help from Yao through Foundry, and got QNX driver for this card (please
refer Topic # 13340). while testing, I have noticed that it has limitation of number of packets received per second. I
am receiving only around 300 packets per second, however, in my application I need to transfer 5000 packets per second.
Each packet size is 125 bytes only. I do understand that wireless has bandwidth limitations, but I am getting only 300
kbps bandwidth on 54 Mbps wifi connection.

Please advise.

Is it slow on receiving side or sending?

if it is receiving, try to change your AP's beacon frequency like 1 per second, to see whether improved? or change
another AP to see.
also try to capture packets with
tcpdump -i ral0 -y IEEE802_11_RADIO -s0 to see whether you can get more here.
maybe ifconfig statistics can help too.
