QNX 6.4.0 has bug with RTL8111C?
I just install QNX6.4.0 with my new PC and the network card is RTL8111C, the card was found and when I try ifconfig, the
 result is
lo0: flags=8049<UP,LOOPBACK,RUNNING,MULTICAST> mtu 33192
inet 127.0.0.1 netmask 0xff000000
en0: flags=80008843<UP,BROADCAST,RUNNING,SIMPLEX,MULTICAST,SHIM> mtu 1500
capabilities=7<IP4CSUM,TCP4CSUM,UDP4CSUM>
enabled=0
address: 90:e6:ba:53:41:78
inet 192.168.0.16 netmask 0xffffff00 broadcast 192.168.0.255

and I can ping 127.0.0.1.
But when I connect it to a robot controller with IP 192.168.0.254, the I cannot get through with ping 192.168.0.254. it
said the host is down, but I can receive the reply from the robot controller when use my old PC (network card is intel**
*).

In addition, if I use command ifconfig en0 IP4CSUM TCP4CSUM UDP4CSUM, and ping again then the pc died.

What the problem is ? actually, I received the reply from the robot yesterday with ping, but today I try ifconfig en0
IP4CSUM TCP4CSUM UDP4CSUM first, then I can not connect to the robot controller any more.

Please help, many thanks in advance!

Well, I can get the reply from the robot when I use boot loader: qnxbasema but not qnxbasesmp..

So different boot loader affect the hardware? Can anyone give me a short explaination?

Thank you!

Plus my new PC is dual core,
old PC is one core and the network card working with qnxbasesmp..

It doesn't look as though the link is being established. You can prove this
by running 'nicinfo' and looking at the "Current Operation Rate" line. If
you boot the non-smp image, is the link established?

Re: QNX 6.4.0 has bug with RTL8111C?
Well, I just tried nicinfo with both ma and smp.
and the operation rate are 100.00Mb/s full duplex.
And after nicinfo the smp is also working, and I can get the reply from robot with cammand ping..-_-!!

Re: QNX 6.4.0 has bug with RTL8111C?
Does the SMP boot only work after running nicinfo?

Re: QNX 6.4.0 has bug with RTL8111C?
No..I rebooted it several times with smp, and it not worked any more.
nicinfo display the link is down.
But reboot with ma is stil working, it seems like something not stble with smp there..l
Re: QNX 6.4.0 has bug with RTL8111C?
The devnp-rtl8169.so driver has had many updates since 6.4.0, so if you want
the driver updated, you will have to request this through your sales
channel.
