does QNX supports RT2860 chipset   
Hi,

I am planning to install Linksys WMP600N in my QNX system. I have browsed for chipset from the web, i guess this 
wireless PCI card supports RALINK2860 chipset. However, the QNX hardware database for wireless networking does not have 
this particular chipset in the list. I am just wondering does QNX supports RALINK2860 chipset?

Please advise.

Almost.

Yao just did a commit to the ported devnp-run.so 
(NOT rum) driver which theoretically is supposed 
to support the 2800/2900/3000 ral chips.

Thanks for your prompt reply. Actually, I am newbie in this networking area. If I interpret your answer correctly, you 
mean, QNX does supports RT 2860 chipset, however, I didn't get about devnp-run.so, as till now i have only seen (-rum.
so).  will devnp-run.so work with QNX? Do I need to do any modification in driver/QNX after installing this card?

Hi,

We just got the Linksys WPM 600N card, which is based on RT2860 chipset. It didn't work on my QNX 6.4.0. Please provide 
support in this regard.

Just a kind reminder that if you need prompt support you need to go 
through the appropriate support channels. This is a community where we 
try and help each other but it is not official "support".

Hi,

Thanks for your reply. We have purchased QNX technical support, and on technical support portal I was suggested to ask 
question on Foundry27. Well, I guess I have come through proper channel, but still trying figured it out.

Ok, I see,

As you see, we really try hard to help with everything, but sometimes 
there just isn't enough hours in the day (I imagine we all have this 
problem... :-) There may still be someone else here who may be able to 
help you here, you never know, but it may take a while.
