Is Avaige MMS support iPod/iPhone IDPS process?   
Hi,

It seems effective on September 1st 2009, it is mandatory, for products that use a 2.0B authentication coprocessor, to 
implement Identify Device Preferences and Settings (IDPS) which iPod & iPhone can receive preference information from 
the accessory during initial communication. 

Just wonder whether Aviage MMS 1.2 support this process. If not, is it possible or feasible to apply for a patch to 
enable this support. And if not possible for a patch, does anyone know which version of Aviage MMS supports this in the 
future and the estimated release date, thanks.

Hi Chris,

An update patch for ipod is planned for later this year to address this issue.

Hopefully the patch will be available for Aviage MMS 1.2 no latter than early December because our first product has to 
be released to customer before this Christmas holiday.

Hello Chris.

This functionality will be delivered in Aviage Multimedia Interface for iPod 1.2.1, which has a planned commercial 
release date of January 7th, 2009. Since this date falls somewhat beyond your time restrictions, I recommend that you 
contact your QNX Technical Account Manager to discuss your requirements in detail and find out what options may be 
available to help you meet your needs.

1.2.1 was posted for download on Jan 27th it looks like based on what I 
see download area.

Someone else would have to comment on roadmap plans for multimedia.

My mistake, I had been looking in the File Releases and Documents section of the Foundry for this but I see that 
released versions are never placed here.
