Cant install QDE 641   
Hello

I have tried to install QNX 6.4.1 on fedora workstation
But i got the following error 

The uninstaller has not been created completely. At least one of these files
is missing: uninstall.dat, uninstaller.jar, and uninstaller.bin.

the insatallLog.txt is attached.

I had tried to update JVM without any chances. Tried to clean my pc whit the qnx cleanup scripts. And downloaded the 6.4
.0 an tried to install this. but nothing works.

Somone know what the problem could be?

Looks like something is missing in the logfile. So try to upload it again

From your install log file, you had run into one known issue in 6.4.1 installer that one of its Java action bean 
(envirionment variable update) failed on newer Linux distribution. You are using Fedora 11 so this bean fails.

I will have our installer developer reply to this message. I believe she has a workaround to this issue.

Hi Lasse,

There was a similar problem reported earlier.  

Can you please check if /etc/profile has an INSTALLSHIELD section?

If you don't have any previous QNX installations except 6.4.1 and there is INSTALLSHIELD section in your /etc/profile, 
please remove everything starting from
# Begin INSTALLSHIELD Environment Variable Section
and ending with 
# End INSTALLSHIELD Environment Variable Section

Try re-installing 6.4.1.

Let me know if this works.

And thanks for your advise.
I had now reinstalled the QNX641 but the qde did not start.

See the attached screeshot.
Is there a logfile someplace.

Are you running FC11 in 64 bit mode? We have seen problems running IDE
on 64 bit systems because of some libraries fail to load.

Also can you try just type "qde" from your shell instead of running the
"run_qde.sh" script? The "qde" command is under your
"qnx641/host/linux/x86/usr/bin" directory.

I tried to start the qde with just type the qde. 
And i had tried to run the run_qde script. But nothing works

Is there a log somwhere like the installLog.txt?

Since you haven't selected your workspace, the workspace log file has
not been generated.

You can type "qde -debug -consolelog". You should see the debug
information showing in your shell console.

BTW, FC11 is not a formally supported platform for IDE 4.6 (bundled in
SDP 6.4.1). You can download the latest IDE 4.7 from our forum download
site
http://community.qnx.com/sf/frs/do/listReleases/projects.ide/frs.ide_4_7

We have tested it on FC11 that IDE 4.7 works. You can always use it with
your SDP 6.4.1 installaion.

No, it's the Mozilla browser adapter issue which is in the Eclipse platform. We have seen this kind of problem with 
newer Linux distributions. Updating to newer Eclipse platform will fix it - which you will do with the IDE 4.7.

Phab is for Windows only, you are running on Linux.

Yes you are right after a little bit of research i also found out of that :-)

But now i had downloaded the ide 4.7 and installed this in the qnx folder and now everything works for me :)

Now i just will enjoy my linux platform at code... :-)
