SCM and .cproject strategies
When doing Team/Update (svn) turn the .cproject into a file the IDE can't process resulting in hard to diagnose problem.

I've found the process of doing an update on a project stressful because I'm not sure what is going to happen to the .
settings directory, .cproject and .project files. I"ve look for some documentation on how to proceed but couldn't find
any.
Re: SCM and .cproject strategies
I am not sure what you mean. These are text file and updated the same way as other files. Just don't let it merge in
file.
To see actual files (if you need to sync, revert, update) you can open Navigator view.

Say I added make target to the project and somebody else also added a make target and he committed his changed. Then I
do the update, close the project and then open it again, the project seems to be corrupted. Although I can see the
make target I can`t run them.

The "just don`t let it merge in file" is was I was afraid I would get as an answer. I mean it`s the kind of thing that
can`t be asked to user. It will happen, somebody is going to forget to not do it. It`s also not documented. Since we
started using Eclipse I`v had lots of people coming to me for support trying to understand what was going on. It`s only
recently that we`ve discover what is going on.

Ok thanks Elena, all I needed was an acknowledgement that I`m not crazy and that something isn`t right ;-)
