Yes, you should install the patches listed in the "Before you install IDE (Platform Patches)" section of that page.  The
 target-side connection/debugging/analysis agents that are current with the IDE 4.6 release have more features and can 
be expected to work better with the IDE 5.0 than the SDP 6.3.2 versions.
