Re: IDE 4.0.1 tells "Error in Build Variants" if I want to create
The answer is simple. But it is not easy to understand what's going on on your computer. IDE presents debug and release
variant for each compiler it finds in $QNX_HOST/etc/qcc/ ... For example, in my case these are:
C:\QNX632\host\win32\x86\etc\qcc>ls
default gcc icc
C:\QNX632\host\win32\x86\etc\qcc>cd gcc
C:\QNX632\host\win32\x86\etc\qcc\gcc>ls
2.95.3 3.3.5 4.2.1 default
C:\QNX632\host\win32\x86\etc\qcc\gcc>cd ..\icc
C:\QNX632\host\win32\x86\etc\qcc\icc>ls
8.1 default
So IDE finds : icc8.1, gcc2.95.3, gcc3.3.5 and gcc4.2.1
The fact that you see empty page means that something is broken in this schema. Check .log file located in your work
space in .metadata directory. Check the contents of previously described directories. How about QNX_HOST value, is it
valid? And the last one but not the least: check the license: is it activated?
