Forum Topic - IDE connection to target is very flaky: (6 Items)

IDE connection to target is very flaky
Hello,

I have a setup working in our lab without any issues. But then the same setup in my office using my personal laptop is
not stable at all - target is going offline very often and doesn't come back online. The only difference between the
working and non-working setup is PC vs laptop (very new) and both have WIN7. I have also tried disabling all the network
connections to rule out IP address conflicting with target IP, no use.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Prashanth R Gurram

What does goes offline means? Can you ping it after that?

RE: IDE connection to target is very flaky
On momentics IDE, target icon shows target is offline. The connection between IDE and the target is lost.

RE: IDE connection to target is very flaky
How can I ping target from Momentics IDE? My laptop doesn't have telnet or ftp setup yet.

Re: IDE connection to target is very flaky
ping is not telnet, it is different command.
Open command prompt on windows and type
ping <ip_address>

(and btw you can use telnet from IDE if you open a Terminal view)
