profiling filter by state "missing"
In 4.5 and early I could filter by event type state. This seems to be missing in 4.6/4.7-20111018.

This filter is *very* useful to remove empty traces when zoomed in to look at a problem. Workaround is to filter on
individual threads until all threads-of-interest are on the screen. This may mean 100s of clicks to get what 1 click
filter-by-state had done.

Is there a manual means to add-back filter-by-state?

If you are referring to the old ³saved filters² functionality from the
System Profiler Filters View, the actions are still available but using the
view¹s menu (down arrow) instead of a separate tab. Have a look under
³Select using log², ³Deselect using log² and ³Show only using log².

RE: profiling filter by state "missing"
Wow. Nice hiding place. :-)

I have used the Profiler for 5 years and I have never opened the Filter View menu.

Thanks for the help.
