Can't start QDE bundled with psQNX release 6.4.1 on Ubunutu 10.04

Hi:

I am trying to run QDE on Ubuntu 10.04 and can't seem to get it running. I get can get past the dialog box for opening a
 workspace but then it hangs with an empty dialog box. I found a thread describing a similar problem:

and following that appended this line to my qde.ini file

–Dorg.eclipse.swt.browser.XULRunnerPath=/usr/lib/xulrunner-1.9.2.12/xulrunner

I have verified that the xulrunner directory above does exist on my system.

Note, I have no problem starting the 6.3.2 version of qde which is co-installed on the system.

Remove ide cash from ~/.momentics (~ can be /home/root if you running it 
as root)
(directory with the version you have 4.7 ?) and restart to see if it help.
It does look like xulrunner issue!

I removed ~/.momentics/4.6 and the problem still perists.

Forgot to ask - are you running 64bit Linux?

Can you try this workaround: type "export GDK_NATIVE_WINDOWS=true" in a shell and then run the IDE 4.6.

In terms of IDE 4.7, you need a valid license to run it. You can get a 30-days license from QNX website.

No I'm running 32-bit Linux.

The workaround didn't help. Still end up with an empty dialog box titled "Qde" after opening my workspace and workbench 
starts loading.

Thanks for confirming the 4.7 licencing. I just assumed that I could run the 4.7 IDE under my QNX 6.4.1 licence.

There is a problem in the 6.4.1 license lib that it can't be loaded properly in newer Linux distros.

Can you install 6.5.0 SDP - which comes with the bundled IDE 4.7?

I can try it as a test. If it does work, are you thinking of just backporting the 6.5.0 licence library to my 6.4.1 SDK 
so that I will still be able to debug my 641 targets?

Installed 6.5.0 and got QDE 4.7 running on Ubuntu 10.04. So far so good.
Next tried to get QDE 4.7 running under SDP 6.4.1 by manually copying over 6.5.0 libqnxlic.so back to 6.4.1. QDE now 
starts up and launches into my workspace.

Ok, that seems to work and gets me past the empty dialog box but now it complains about not being able to find a valid 
licence file. I'm sure I followed the instructions and made sure my PATH and LD_LIBRARY_PATH are pointing to where the 
instructions said (and yes I do have a licence :) ).
