Forum Topic - slow Audio mixer buildup in VmWare: (3 Items)

slow Audio mixer buildup in VmWare
Hi,

not sure if this is a Photon issue or a driver issue, but... in VmWare, using the application 'mixer' that is used to
configure audio, the buildup (drawing) is terribly slow, ugly. On the same machine, natively, it draws fine (ok, the
audio device is different, but can that make a difference?).

I've filmed it, see attachment.

I've filmed how it looks natively, same machine.

RE: slow Audio mixer buildup in VmWare
It's making a tonne of snd_xxxx() calls, and I guess they are not so speedy on vmware. It appears that the mixer
application queries "on the fly", I guess to take into account any devices that just got added, maybe via USB. That
said, the update looks suspicous, I spotted some PtContainerHold() calls in there, and there about a "billion" loops ...
