We need to implement diffenrt keys for a single hW key

for eg:
HW key 1 is used for number1,a,b & c
SO if we need to give some entry for the text box , user need to press the key, if he presses again within few seconds 
need to display next key ( ie first 1, then a,b,c)
Basically we will have this type in mobile applciations. We need to implement similarly
Do we ahve any functions to do this? in photon, anybody implemented this? kindly suggest
