I have made the changes in syslog.conf to route the syslogd logs to slog2 buffer and collecting the syslogd logs. Is 
there any other way to collect the syslogd logs.?

Venkata,

are you asking just out of interest, or because what you tried didn't work? If the latter, please show us
a) what you did (in detail)
b) what happened vs what you expected (again, detail)

Hi Michale,

I made the below changes in syslog.conf

*.*    /dev/console

1. When I built & flash those changes are not reflecting. still have *.* /dev/syslog
2. Is any other way to collect only syslogd logs.?

your problem is quite obviously not the syslog setup, but your build/flash process. Changing anything in the 
configuration without fixing the build/flash process will not fix anything.
