Hello,
           I am not sure if I am asking the question in the right forum but I am sure I will be informed. My question is
 about 2 bit error detected by the RAM. I have read on the net that 2 bit errors are detected by ECC but not repaired. 
These errors are rather reported to the OS and ECC wait for next action from OS. 

Is this statement correct? If it is, can someone please tell me how this information is provided to the OS or how I can 
instruct OS to retrieve this status from the memory? Can  I write a program to instruct OS to repair 2 bit errors and 
respond to the memory.
