QNX 6.3.2 ISO not booting   
I want to take a look at / play around with the QNX platform, but don't want to install.

I downloaded the ISO, burned it, but I only get as far as 

Hit ESC for .altboot....................................................
...........................

The boot process goes no farther, and there is no activity on the hard drive or the CD/DVD.

The machine is a Lenovo ThinkCentre 9636-QKU with 4GB RAM.

Well, I have the same problem but using VirtualBox 1.6.0. The ISO won't boot.

I would be glad if anyone out there could help me and my predecessor.

I am not sure if it is related, but I had similar issues booting on VmWare. As it turned out, something collides between
 my host (windows) and the VM related to physical CD. I changed the settings in my VM to use ISO image instead of the 
physical drive and after that all worked fine... now for the first poster it doesn't help since he is booting a physical
 machine, but it might be applicable to the VitualBox issue.

I've got the same problem with virtualbox-ose, 1.5.6-dfsg-6ubuntu1 on ubuntu (obviously) / amd64.

I get a hex dump immediately after the altboot prompt.

Well, I used the ISO-file instead of the physical CD and it worked. :)
Thanks for this tip. Although I don't have any suggestion for the issue of my predecessor but I think QNX can not find 
an appropriate driver (e.g. IDE-Driver or so).
