Forum Topic - changing license number: (3 Items)

changing license number
I installed QNX 6.3.2 with an academic license number that I had already used for another machine in the lab. AFter
installation, it failed to activate, and multiple messages to QNX went unanswered. So I requested and obtained a new
license number.

Can I now get QNX to recognize the new license number and allow activation ? Do I have to reinstalll ?? Please say no.

Thanks, Suresh
RE: changing license number
Suresh,

You can add a license after installation. On Windows and Neutrino hosts
there is an entry in the Start (or Launch) menu under "QNX Momentics
Development Suite". I believe the option is "Add License".

On Linux, if you don't have the menu items you can run
/etc/qnx/bin/AddLicense.bin (but be sure to do it as root).

Cheers,
Keith Russell
