Forum Topic - Duplicate Fat32 partitions: (4 Items)

Duplicate Fat32 partitions
Is it possible to mount two identical Fat32 partitions on a single QNX4 drive?

Basically, I need to have one large drive split up into three partitions. One QNX4 for the OS, and two Identical FAT32s

If so , how is this done? I've tried setting up a drive as described above, but the second FAT32 was skipped on booting,
and only the QNX4 and the first Fat32 partitions were mounted.

Thanks-

RE: Duplicate Fat32 partitions
Are you running Dosfsys or Fatfsys? I know that Fatfsys can mount
several different DOS partitions on different drives, but have never
tried it with multiple partitions on the same drive.

Re: RE: Duplicate Fat32 partitions
I'm running Fatfsys. The issue though is not with multiple drives, as I have three 120GB drives installed now, two of
which are entirely FAT32.
The system has no problem recognizing these.

What I would like to do is use a single large drive, and split up the OS, and the FAT32 partitions. Ultimately having
the OS view the FAT32 partitions separately.

Thanks-

Check all the DOS partitions are visible/were enumerated by "mount -p".
Then try manually specifying the mounts with "Fatfsys c=/dev/XXX
d=/dev/YYY". Maybe add in some '-v' in case that logs some more
messages about what is going on?
