kill (including with -9) doesn't work any more
As of a couple weeks ago, kill and kill -9 cannot reliably kill a process. When I do it, it works once, and every
subsequent attempt fails, the only way to stop the process is to reboot the device.
I just tried the trunk-developer build 6629 (London device), which is from today, and it has the same behavior. In my
case it's a python process, under the python interpreter, but for -9 it shouldn't matter - by the book, the process
being killed should not be able to intercept SIGKILL, no matter what it does or how.
(Note that SIGTERM did not work either)
Having to reboot the device many times in a single debugging session is a... hassle, at least.
Can someone please look into this? I can reproduce this behavior on demand and I can provide any logs or other files
from the device, as needed.
