Re: RE: Intel motherboard problems
Good idea! Unfortunately, there does not seem to be a virus detection option in this BIOS. When we boot into the
maintenance screen there are a number of options that are in the Intel generic BIOS documentation that don't seem to be
present with this motherboard. Furthermore, if the option was active, it would have printed some sort of message on the
boot screen. Instead, the screen just freezes with no error messages.
It sort of reminded me of QNX 4.25, where there was an old and a new bootloader. On some systems the new bootloader
would not work, but the boot loader install program had an option to install the old loader, which usually fixed the
problem. I'm wondering if this is a similar issue.
I may try using the Linux bootloader, and see if that gets me past this problem.
