Forum Topic - Is it possible to rename a PPS file using rename()?: (1 Item)

Is it possible to rename a PPS file using rename()?
Hi,

I am trying to rename a PPS file that my service own (for backward compatibility purpose) by using rename() but when my
code execute rename it fails with errno EXDEV (18 - Improper link) which indicates the files or directories named by old
and new are on different filesystems.
The file is located off course in /pps tree.
I am not sure why it is telling me the source and destinaiton are in 2 different filesystems (location remain the same)
Is it because it is a PPS object?

Which alternative to I have?

Note from the command line 'mv' command works fine on the same file.

Thank you.
