Forum Topic - Mixing components (devb-umass) from one version of QNX to another?: (2 Items)

Mixing components (devb-umass) from one version of QNX to another?
So I am have been building .ifs images from various kinds of buildfiles for some time in Momentics. However I am faced
with a very unique/difficult situation (I think).

I am using QNX 6.1.0 which does not have USB mass storage support in it (devb-umass). So upon search on QNX it seems
that the devb-umass driver got introduced since 6.3.0.

So my questions are:

1. Is it possible to include the devb-umass driver and it's corresponding libraries (using objdump -x) from 6.3.0 to 6.1
.0?

2. If answer is "yes" to above question, what kind of trouble/problems am I looking in terms of other things breaking
assuming I don't change anything else on 6.1.0?

I thought I would get some opinion before going ahead and spend hours on this possibly futile exercise.

Any input will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Not having tried this myself, my instinct tells me that it is not possible. That being said it should be fairly easy to
try. It isn`t hard to imagine libc from 6.3.0 not being compatible with the 6.1.0 kernel.... There were most probably
structure changes between 6.1.0 and 6.3.0.
