QNX 6.3.2 Photon applications wont build under 6.4.1: "No rule to make target..."

We have a lot of Photon applications built with PhAB under QNX 6.3.2, and if we try to make them under QNX 6.4.1 every 
application with extra libraries defined in indLfiles fails to compile with the error "No rule to make target 'xxx.a' 
needed by ...."
Does anybody knows is there any general fix to this problem, what global .mk file should be fixed and how?

Generating a lot of dummy *.a files for each application is quite cumbersome.

We have fixed one global .mk file to allow Photon applications to be built under QNX 6.4.1

the application will jump directly to an artifact with the ID artf2345. Some valid object prefixes are:
artf	for an artifact
doc	for a document
page	for a project page
topc	for a discussion topic
wiki	for a wiki page
